Day One
After over one year of waiting and planning, it was finally time for Mary Jane to arrive. Mary Jane and I went to Fleming-Neon High School together 44 years ago and thanks to the Internet, we were able to renew our friendship. After emails, reunions, and visits we decided it was time for her to come to Summerville. And finally on Friday, April 13 she was standing on my porch. I thought, " I can't believe she is finally here." I had planned to take photos from the first moment but I was so excited with her arrival I forgot to take the very first photo.
After awhile my children and grandchildren began to pour in to meet her. We rounded everyone up and went to Margarita's, one of our favorite Mexican restaurants, for dinner.
My husband was out of town so after dinner we had the house to ourselves. And we talked and talked and talked.

OK I have to confess I didn't get to give her all this stuff the first day she was here. I collected it the entire time. But you have to admit it made for good photos!!
